Special Event: Opportunity to Learn | September 26 - October 3, 2026

AN OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN ABOUT WHO BEARS ARE + SUPPORT BEARKIND!

There is no where else on earth, quite like the Great Bear Rainforest in the Fall!

Join Ocean Adventures Charter Co. for an 8-day / 7-night trip through the heart of the Great Bear Rainforest: September 26  – October 3, 2026.

Ocean Adventures are happy to donate 5% of the cost of your trip to BearKind to help fund their amazing and very important work!

Ocean Adventures believes that their smallest group sizes of not more than 5 guests, allow you to really discover the heart beat of this unique and soul-stirring wilderness.

Thoughtful, patient, wildlife viewing is practiced, that allow guests to witness the natural behaviours of the wildlife and enable Ocean Adventures and their guests w to make the least possible impact on the wildlife and their wild homes, all of which are extremely important to us.

This trip will provide many opportunities to dispel myths about bears as guests experience and learn about who bears really are.

Perhaps Baba Dioum said it best: “In the end, we will conserve only what we love. We will love only what we understand. We will understand only what we are taught.”

Enjoying her salmon

Every photo of and every experience with bears speaks a thousands words, as do the subtleties of bear behavior.

While some may think that the following photo is of two Grizzly bears fighting, quite the opposite is true. While these 2 adult brothers go their separate ways during most of the year, as bears do, they certainly enjoy each other’s company in fall when they come to fish for salmon in the same river. In this photo, these 2 brothers are greeting each other and beginning the gentle play wrestling they are known for.

Bears have much to teach us, not only about them, but about ourselves.

Disclaimers:

Ocean Adventures is an independent business. A member of our volunteer team is employed by Ocean Adventures; however, they are not a director and do not participate in BearKind’s financial or partnership decisions.

For the protection of these bears, these photos were taken with a 500 mm lens and cropped so as not to show their whereabouts.
